I am a simple and spirited woman
in my 6th decade of life, with a deep, passionate love and respect
for this beautiful mother planet and Her creatures. In recent
years my love and respect have been joined by pain, horror, terror
and, at times, great despair as I have witnessed the turning
of the planet toward the most devastating, human caused, environmental
tragedy the earth has ever seen. In our short stay on the planet
we have managed to damage Her, it seems, beyond repair...or at
least beyond Her ability to sustain life as she once has. I have
always had a fierce dedication to supporting the planet through
the human transformation that comes from respectful interaction
with, and explorations of the wilderness and the beings that
live here. Now, however, this work of bringing people to the
wilderness is slanted toward how can we each ACT in our most
authentically potent way, to bring the change that is needed
to our world. . . NOW. I have been sharing the wilderness with
others for 28 years, both as a guide and one who was guided.
The Earth and Her creatures have
been my constant companions, teachers and my comfort for my entire
life. As I grew into a woman and started spending longer periods
in a deepened intimacy with the Earth, I learned to love Her
as a feminine body, as a Mother and as my teacher. I began having
glimpses of my own reflection in Her. The more I looked, the
more fascinated and curious I became. With each new awareness,
I felt myself coming home. Not only was I beginning to really
see my true Mother, but also my own true Self and my passionate
soul. To really receive, understand and reflect back the echoes
of the Earth is now my privileged task, my gift and my passion.
I am thrilled over and over when I can share that with others.
In seeing ourselves mirrored by this planet and her beings, we
find a pathway into ourselves, and we begin to map out the unique
beauty of our inner landscape.
My personal medicine pouch is "filled" with
a wonderful variation of exercises, conversations, experiences,
ceremonies and wanderings that will serve as your tools for exploring
your new world. Through my studies and schooling, as well as
my own intuitive knowings, I offer a wealth of suggested skills
to guide your awareness and mark your trail as you wander new
and forgotten landscapes inside and out.
My
most in depth training as a guide came through the amazing guides
at Animas Valley Institute and The School of Lost Borders. I
did a year-long training with Animas Valley Inst. and spent a
month with Steven Foster and Meredith Little to enhance my understanding
of guiding one who is questing for a vision. I now guide for
Animas in addition to Earth's Echo. I am certified as a Wilderness
First Responder under the National Outdoor Leadership School,
and I have also studied under Martin Prechtel, Tom Brown, John Milton and various
others. The majority of my inspiration and passion, however,
comes from direct experience and the intuitive knowing that Mother
Earth has whispered softly in my ears since childhood.

Nature Moving Women is born....
In
the last several years Jade began taking special interest (for obvious
reasons) in women who were working to change the world. She began
to notice that it seemed that there was almost an epidemic of exhausted,
depleted and unsupported women doing extremely important work in
the world. At that time the gestation began in Jade for an idea that
eventually was birthed as Nature Moving Women. Jade's hope is that
NMW offers a venue of support for women who are actively engaged
in caring for the world AND for those who want to be in a deeper
relationship with the world through their own earth/body wisdom.
